The Station Masters house was built in 1902 by AJ Stewart & Co. It served as a house for all the station masters until December 1965. After the Spencers Brook Progress Association saved the house from demolition and gained a Management Authority over it, restoration works have been commenced.

More information on the progress of the Station Masters house coming soon. This photo was taken during the commencement of the repairs and restoration.

In 2022 a table and chairs seating has been provided in the rest area of the bus stop so that people can have their morning tea or lunch, in comfort, when stopping for a break while driving through. Sponsored by the Shire of Northam. The table and chairs were built and partially donated by the Northam Men’s Shed. They were specifically designed so that you could have wheelchair access.
The Shire of Northam courtesy bus picks up and drops off travellers from the bus stop.

A community library has been set up within the Bus Shelter in 2022 with free books, DVD’s, and CD’s for anyone to use and exchange. Sponsored by Spencers Brook Residents.

This has been designed and erected by residents at the entrances to Spencers Brook in 2018 to show our unique identity and the historical significance of the railway to the township. Sponsored by Spencers Brook residents and the Shire of Northam.

In 2005 the Spencers Brook Progress Association purchased a light tanker Fire Truck (Alpha D). This Fire Truck is an important asset for fast attack fire response for any local fire in Spencers Brook as the Northam Fire Services are 11km away and Clackline/Muresk Fire Brigade 10km away. It is also used for fires outside of the locality. The fire truck required a permanent home. The Spencers Brook Progress Association located a suitable piece of land which the Shire of Northam were able to excise from the road reserve. While waiting for the Fire Shed to be built a water saving garden was established. The Spencers Brook Progress Association then commenced fundraising to build the Fire Shed. Building of the Fire Shed was donated by a builder and ex resident. In 2010 electricity was connected to the Fire Shed. Both the Shire of Northam and Western Power provided grants that partly funded the connection. The remaining funds were raised by the Spencers Brook Progress Association. In 2012 a concrete pad was installed next to the Fire Shed in Preparation of a future patio to be erected. In 2022 the patio was eventually built funded by a grant of the Shire of Northam and Spencers Brook Progress Association funds. The Water tank was donated by RainChaser Water Tanks Pty Ltd.

In 2001 a bus stop and shelter plus parking area for the school bus and parents to drop children off. This provides protection from winter rain and the heat of summer. Together with benches/seating, the area was paved to provide a dry area for getting on/off the bus. Pine logs were installed surrounding the bus shelter.
This project was sponsored by Shire of Northam, Councillor P McGraw, and the Spencers Brook Community.
